The process began with an in-depth exploration of Frost\u2019s poetry and a series of interviews with the client. At the dawn of her early 50s, the client sought to embark on a journey she had never traveled before\u2014opening a cafe as her own &#8220;road not taken.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RNT: The Road Not Taken<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Inspired by the poem, the client views this new venture as a definitive first step into a new chapter of life. Key concepts such as curiosity, anticipation, and the courage to face an unknown future became the pillars of the RNT brand. Beyond a mere literary reference, RNT represents the values of discovery and new challenges\u2014a message the owner wishes to share with every guest who walks through the doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Main Logo: Architectural Abstraction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The RNT logo is the result of abstracting the alphabet into architectural elements. It symbolizes the &#8220;entrance&#8221; where one encounters a new &#8220;destiny&#8221; at the fork in the road. By utilizing the most fundamental components of architectural space\u2014pillars, roofs, and openings\u2014the logo gives form to the RNT identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This technique of distilling literary narratives and structural forms into symbolic imagery is a signature storytelling approach pursued by <strong>JHY Architecture<\/strong>. Consequently, the final logo carries a distinct &#8220;architectural scent,&#8221; bridging the gap between graphic identity and physical space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exterior Message &amp; Materiality<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the main entrance, guests are greeted by a satin-finished brass-colored stainless steel plate, featuring the main logo engraved with precision. This plate is set on a natural oak door crafted in a refined herringbone pattern. The hairline finish of the metal provides a sense of luxury and weight, grounding the brand\u2019s presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the right of the entrance, a smaller plaque carries a personal message from the client, detailing the sincerity she wishes to convey through her coffee, alongside information about JHY Architecture&#8217;s spatial design. Complementing this is a minimalist A-frame sign, designed in tones that harmonize with the oak entrance.
